has always given a platform to
showcase the zest and zeal for their culture. Some of the majaor festivals organized by us are
1. Online International Deusi Bhailo - Deusi and Bhailo are traditional songs that are sung during the festival of Tihar in Nepal, Darjeeling hills, Sikkim, Assam, and some other parts of India. Children and teenagers sing these songs and dance as they go to various homes in their community, collecting money, sweets and food and giving blessings for prosperity. Bhailo is generally played by girls, while Deusi is played by boys. At the end of these songs, the woman of the house serves food and gives money to these Deusi/Bhailo singers and dancers. In return, the Deusi/Bhailo team gives their blessings for high income and prosperity.celebrate, preserve the culture and traditions of TIHAR, Hamro Swabhiman organises an Online International Deusi Bhailo Competition where participants from all over the world come together and depict the age long Nepali Culture.
2. Haritalika Teej - The Nepali speaking community all over the world celebrates the festival of Teej every year with grandeur and jubilance. Teej is a beautiful time when wives fast for the wellbeing of their husbands. Festive dances, red attires and cultural songs mark the beginning of this festival. Hamro Swabhiman Trust celebrates this festival in a very phenomenal way every year with plethora of people joining us from all over the India. This Year along with The Celebration an Online Solo Singing competion was organized to cherish the Haritalika Teej festival.
